Plenty of scope
Different requirements.

You’d really like a sauna but your bathroom is too small and your basement is too full? Save space in your home with an outdoor sauna and gain an outstanding oasis of well-being.

Saunas can be installed virtually anywhere. Under the stairs, in the hall – and naturally also in the garden. Healthy sweating under an open sky is the oldest health ritual around. Looking to make new use of the empty space by your pond or embellish your rooftop terrace with a sauna? We can turn your dream into a unique outdoor experience – from a log cabin to a designer object to a multifunctional summer house. Always within the realms of possibility, always precisely tailored.

How outdoor saunas differ in design

Building an outdoor sauna is often more challenging – not to mention more expensive – than building an indoor sauna. Depending on the circumstances, both the sauna manufacturer and the client can be faced with additional challenges. For example, the sauna in question may require foundations and an exterior shell that is both wind- and weatherproof. On the other hand, you have plenty of scope for dimensioning, individuality and luxury fittings – and a professional partner at your side.

Outdoor sauna fact sheet

Outdoor sauna checklist.

  • Foundations: Depending on ground conditions, by design, a concrete slab or strip foundation must be created.
  • Plumber’s metalwork: If the installation site is not already covered, plumber’s metalwork is required for the sauna roof.
  • Stronger power supply: A Finnish sauna heater uses at least 400 V 16 A, but often 400 V 32 A. A combined heater requires an additional 230 V 13 A connection.
  • Insulation: The floor of the sauna is insulated and furnished with a vapour barrier – unless heated flooring is installed by design.
  • Weatherproof exterior: Materials such as exposed concrete, natural stone, CNS or fibre cement are particularly suitable.
  • Sauna cabin: A stronger wall structure and extra insulation is required.
  • Control system: The operating panel for the control system is generally placed in the house or, depending on the control system, a mobile control unit, mobile phone or tablet is used.

Award-winning sauna Omnia

Many people today are nomads: their location changes just as much as their preferences. The new outdoor sauna Omnia fits in perfectly with this lifestyle, as it is so compact that it can easily be relocated. It is equally at home on a rooftop in the city as in a wildly romantic garden in the countryside. And even if such mobility only ever remains a possibility, the outdoor sauna at least looks visionary.
