Opening of Küng Produktions AG
To celebrate the 30-year anniversary of its own production department, Küng AG Saunabau has built a new, spacious joinery in Altendorf (canton of Schwyz). While production in Horgen was increasingly faced with capacity bottlenecks, the new facility offers optimised processes and greater scheduling flexibility. The opening at the beginning of April 2011 was celebrated together with hundreds of guests.

The new sense of home
The «new sense of home» is a trend researchers have identified towards a heightened need for comfort and safety as a reaction to our fast pace of life. In response to this renewed awareness of tradition and sustainability, Küng AG Saunabau is launching its latest sauna model, Rustico.

This space-saving corner sauna is built in a chalet style from reclaimed wood full of old-time character. Light-coloured benches made from alder wood provide a refreshing contrast and a triangular platform that appears to be floating serves as a step to the upper bench. The triangle theme is repeated in the sauna heater, which is positioned in the corner behind a discreet panel and is therefore hardly noticeable, enabling the Rustico model’s economical use of space.

Joint stand at Giardina 2011

Judging by the large number of visitors to the joint stand of Poolhouse and Küng AG Saunabau, there is considerable interest in overall solutions for terrace and garden. Both companies specialise in implementing superior lifestyle and wellness concepts in and around the home. In addition to its traditional cabin-style saunas, Küng can make almost every one of its sauna models suitable for the outdoors through the use of appropriate materials. The positioning within the surrounding environment, the shape of the sauna, the materials and finishings are all tailored to fit perfectly with the location and meet the wishes of the customer.

An eye-catcher at Bauarena

The Cube Corner sauna model from Küng is now on display in Volketswil. It is an extremely popular model within the extensive range of Küng saunas, and consists of two cubes of varying heights with a frameless glass front. The black exterior panels give it an elegant appearance, while the interior in Nordic pine and aspen creates an ambience of cosiness and comfort. The juxtaposition of contemporary design and traditional materials is one of Küng’s trademarks. An almost limitless array of sauna ideas are further on display at our 800 m² showroom in Wädenswil.
